High Speed 3D Tracking System for Vehicle Dynamics

EZMotion uses the latest high speed digital camera technology to provide an accurate 3D measurement system based on image triangulation. The system is designed so it can be mounted on a vehicle and observe on-track behavior of suspension, body panels etc. The system will measure absolute positions or relative movement to characterize the elements in a dynamic environment.
Kinematic and Compliance
While there are many possible applications for the system, a main application if for Kinematic and Compliance measurement on the track. EZMotion camera would be installed above each wheel and lightweight tracking probe would be installed on the wheel. This would be done for every wheel on the vehicle to understand the complete driving geometry. The fact that the measurements can be taken on the track as a contrast to the classic test bench approach. It provides an insight into what is really going on during specific driving events or maneuvers.
Features
The 6D data can be recorded and studied for suspension or movement analysis., The software allows to record all data, and the extensions would enable to register other channels such as location, slip angle sensors, wheel force transducers. The sensors are not included in the system but many of the popular sensors are compatible with the system. The combined synced information will be the key for efficient data analysis and data driven conclusions.
