SpeedBay is an easy-to-operate verification tool used to validate inertial sensors on SpeedPod and EnergyPod devices. The system automatically runs a pre-defined procedure spinning the Pod device at various speeds. The data collected by the device is compared to the known procedure and the system produces a deviation report with pass fail results.
Application
It is recommended to calibrate EZMetrology Pod devices once per year. To ensure the measurement performance of Pod devices after normal use, or unintended drops, between calibrations, operators can rely on SpeedBay. The relatively compact size of the verification tool makes SpeedBay easily accessible on the production line or in the analysis lab for pre-measurement campaign validation. Subscriptions are also available to enable SpeedBay to perform Pod device calibrations on-site.
Features
SpeedBay can automatically run a full verification procedure when connected with MyPod configuration software. Within minutes, SpeedBay will report a pass or fail verification status along with percent deviations for varying test speeds. The latest verification date is saved to the device. For specific verification at certain speeds, operators can use MyPod or the SpeedBay button controls to select and run desired procedures. With a Calibration Subscription, users can perform on-site calibrations of SpeedPod or EnergyPod inertial sensors. After the calibration procedure is complete, updated calibration factors will save to the Pod automatically.
