PressurePod

Measure the Efficiency of Air Evacuation in the Cabin During Door Closing

June 2024, Detroit (USA)

Application

It only needs a simple test of closing a door while a window is open to realize how important the role of the cabin pressure is in the design of a door system. Multiple design elements will influence the pressure build up, but also the release once the pressure while it has been building up.

Features

The pressure curve, its shape, its height, its width, make up a good characterization of the air and the flow system of the cabin. The new PressurePod will display all key values immediately on the screen or communicate it to the logging software. For additional research the full curve can be downloaded and used as material for studies of component or systems design.

Technology

The device has built-in algorithms to perform a quick check for compliance of the system. The smart control of the differential sensor will be capable of detecting minute dynamic pressure changes. In many applications, the gauge will be combined with a speed gauge, such as SpeedPod, as there is an obvious relationship between cabin pressure and door speed.
