PLS (Production Line Solution) is an automated data collection software for in-line quality inspection of door closing efforts. PLS automatically collects closing effort measurement data transmitted wirelessly from EZMetrology Pod devices. The solution stores the data in a database, displays pertinent data on a customizable user interface, and transmits messages to line controllers or quality systems. The operator s sole responsibility is to collect the measurements with a Pod device and PLS handles the rest.
Application
PLS is widely used for 100% in-line inspection. The solution is configurable to collect data from all doors on the production unit, trunks and hoods included. For a more portable solution in audit-type scenarios or environments, a rugged tablet with integrated barcode scanner for VIN collection can be used. Create custom graphs and trend charts to monitor variations in production or quality symmetry between different sides of a model.
