With the introduction of multi-device functionality in PLS software, users can now collect more closing effort data at their currently existing quality check stations in production lines. PLS is now able to receive measurements from multiple Pod devices at the same time. For example, to more fully understand the door system in terms of quality, an EnergyPod may be paired with PressurePod to measure user input energy and peak cabin pressure, respectively in the quality check station. Both metrics on the measured door will be transmitted to PLS automatically upon completing the measurement procedure.
Multi-Device PLS for WindowSetter Solution
PLS now allows connection to multiple EZM Pod devices and WindowSetters. WindowSetter is a new in-line solution for measuring the penetration of windows into the seal. Now, one PLS station can maintain both the front and rear measurements from dedicated WindowSetter devices for the seal penetration on each door. There is no loss in station time due to disconnecting and reconnection from one device to another.
PLS Exporting Features Now Bolstered by Multi-Device Feature
PLS is known for its automated management of measurement data and wide variety of export capabilities to file, database, or custom plant integration. With the new multi-device feature, PLS extends the value of these exporting options by increasing the amount of data per unit that can be collected and stored or passed to other systems like quality control platforms or line controllers.
